amy’s dream was always to have chickens, so soon after we moved into our home in atlanta, in the kirkwood neighborhood we began raising chickens. amy sells the eggs at the low low cost of $5 for a dozen. we call it the ‘big yellow coop’ because my mom helped up build a gigantic coop.
i was able to do an internship with a great friend who showed me how to keep bees. this spring i was lucky enough to be able to get a swarm and so now i have 1 hive. i will not sell honey this year, but i’ll let you know if that changes.
