i met last week with Rev. Khalia Williams. she serves as the Assistant Dean of Worship and Music, as well as the Assistant Professor in the Practice of Worship.
we had a great meeting. she is very interested in the implementation of more visual worship arts at cannon chapel.
this is so exciting, considering this is the first year we have been allowed to paint in the chapel. this type of innovation and forward thinking is wonderful.
maybe something wonderful will happen at candler- maybe something wonderful will happen and “art in the image” will be contracted!!
Barth describes the act of creation as “giving shape to the impossible.” It is this imagination that grows in the art-maker with creative devotion and if we can imagine it- it can happen!
